Could it be possible to get longer term data?

Dear Administration,

I recently joined your community and immediately appreciated how intuitive and efficient the interface is.

That said, I was quite surprised to see that for major asset classes such as bonds and gold, the available historical data extends back only about 20 years. This is problematic, as these long-term asset classes require deep historical context to produce meaningful analysis.

For example, analysing the Harry Browne portfolio over 2000–2025 does not yield the same Sharpe ratio or performance profile as analysing it from 1977 onward. Limiting the dataset to recent decades introduces strong cyclical bias and undermines the purpose of studying long-horizon strategies.

Since broad datasets for the S&P 500 or gold go back to the 19th century and are readily accessible on platforms like TradingView, I assumed that such history would also be available—especially with a Pro subscription.

While I can manually upload and clean these datasets, I did not expect to perform this level of preprocessing for core asset classes.

Furthermore, even once the data is uploaded, the resulting charts are difficult to read, and it becomes hard to perform true deep-dive analysis such as correlations between assets, drawdowns across major crises, and other essential metrics.

Thank you in advance for your clarification.

Hey, thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, we haven't seen any data providers that offer historical data extending back to the 1970s and beyond. There are some platforms that use simulated historical data, but that's not a route we're willing to take

If you happen to know of any data providers that offer this kind of historical coverage, we'd certainly be interested to learn about them.
