Allow Uploading Custom Assets
Hi team,
I noticed that it’s currently possible to import an entire portfolio via CSV, which is great. However, what I’m really looking for is the ability to import multiple custom assets individually via CSV, each with its own historical price data, and then select those assets as part of a portfolio within PortfoliosLab.
The idea would be to treat each imported asset as a standalone security, and then use PortfoliosLab’s existing features (that is rebalancing.) to analyze a portfolio composed of these custom assets.
As far as I can tell, this feature is not currently available — is that correct?
If so, is there any plan to implement something like this in the future?
Thanks for the great tool, and looking forward to your feedback!
Best regards,
Michael

Hi Dmitry,
thanks for your reply — I tried the Custom Data portfolio as you described, and it works exactly as you explained.
However, what I’m trying to do is a little bit different:
I have two trading strategies, each with its own monthly closing price series. What I’d like to do is load these two strategies into PortfoliosLab as individual assets, and then combine them in a portfolio together with other assets already available in PortfoliosLab.
For example:
- Strategy 1: 30%
- Strategy 2: 40%
- Gold: 10%
- Bonds: 20%
I’d then like to run analytics or optimization on this combined portfolio.
So in short: I’d like to set the allocation weights in PortfoliosLab and mix my two custom time series with existing assets in PortfoliosLab.
So far, I haven’t found a workaround for this. Is this possible, or is it something that could be considered for the future?
Best regards,
Michael
