The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in common stocks, preferred stocks, rights and warrants issued by companies that are based outside the United States, securities convertible into such securities (including Depositary Receipts), and investment companies that invest in the types of securities in which the fund would normally invest. It also may invest in securities of U.S. companies that derive, or are expected to derive, a significant portion of their revenues from their foreign operations.

HISIX

The fund normally will invest at least 80% of net assets (including any borrowings for investment purposes) in the common stocks of large companies. A large company is defined as one whose market capitalization is larger than the median market capitalization of companies in the Russell 1000 Growth Index, a widely used benchmark of the largest domestic growth stocks.

HNASX

Under normal circumstances, the advisor intends to invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus the amount of borrowings for investment purposes) in fixed-income debt securities. It may invest up to 20% of its assets in other instruments, primarily including preferred stock (fixed maturity and perpetual), convertible bonds, and other investment companies, including open-end funds, closed-end funds and exchange-traded funds ("ETFs").

HOIBX

The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus borrowing for investment purposes) in fixed-income securities that are in the three highest credit categories as ranked by a NRSRO. These investments may include: commercial paper; corporate bonds; U.S. Treasury securities; securities issued or guaranteed by U.S. government entities, agencies or instrumentalities; municipal bonds; U.S. dollar-denominated debt securities of foreign issuers; and asset-backed and mortgage-backed securities.

HOSBX

The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus borrowing for investment purposes) in fixed-income securities whose principal and interest payments are guaranteed by the U.S. government. In addition, the dollar-weighted average portfolio maturity of the fund, under normal circumstances, is expected to be three years or less.

HOSGX

The fund invests in stocks of companies selling below what RE Advisers believes to be their fundamental value. To determine whether a stock is undervalued, RE Advisers considers, among other factors, potential earning power, financial ratios and any competitive advantages a company may have.

HOVLX

The fund aims to invest primarily in companies vital for rural America's economic growth, through equity and fixed income securities of U.S. issuers. Asset allocation may vary significantly over time, with a target to invest 30-70% of assets in each class under normal market conditions.

HRRLX

The fund invests in stocks of companies selling at prices below what RE Advisers believes to be their fundamental value. Under normal circumstances, it will invest at least 80% of its net assets (plus borrowing for investment purposes) in common stocks of companies whose market capitalization, at the time of purchase, is within the range of the market capitalization of companies represented in the Russell 2000 Index.

HSCSX

The fund is a feeder fund, meaning that it invests all of its investable assets in a master portfolio. It invests its assets in the S&P 500 Index Master Portfolio. Under normal circumstances, at least 90% of the value of the fund's assets, plus the amount of any borrowing for investment purposes, is invested in securities comprising the index.
