The fund normally invests at least 80% of net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in Latin American common stocks and other equities. It may invest up to 20% of net assets in the equity securities of U.S. and other non-Latin American issuers and in debt securities including junk bonds (grade BB/Ba and below). The fund may also invest as much as 10% of net assets in debt securities rated B or lower. It is non-diversified.

The investment seeks to maximize total return. The fund seeks to achieve its objective by investing in a broad range of both traditional asset classes (such as equity and fixed income investments) and alternative asset classes (such as real estate, infrastructure, convertibles, commodities, currencies and absolute return strategies). It invests between 20% and 50% of assets in equity securities, including investments in underlying funds that invest primarily in equity securities, and between 50% and 80% of assets in fixed income securities, including investments in underlying funds that invest primarily in fixed income securities.

SPBAX

The investment seeks to maximize total return. Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in equity securities. It seeks to achieve its objective by employing an active investment strategy that invests primarily in the stocks comprising the S&P 500 Index, the fund's benchmark index. The fund typically invests directly in common stocks, but may also invest in derivatives, such as futures contracts and options, that provide exposure to the stocks of the companies in the benchmark.

SPGRX

The investment seeks long-term capital growth. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets, determined at the time of purchase, in stocks and other securities with equity characteristics of U.S. smaller capitalization companies. The fund may invest up to 20% of its assets in the stocks of non-U.S. companies, including those in emerging markets, and large capitalization stocks.

SSDAX

The fund invests at least 80% of net assets, plus the amount of any borrowings for investment purposes, in common stocks of small U.S. companies with potential for above-average long-term total return. These companies are similar in size to the companies in the Russell 2000 Index (generally the 2,000 smallest companies out of the 3,000 largest companies in the U.S.). While it invests primarily in common stocks, it may invest up to 20% of its total assets in U.S. government securities.

SSLCX

Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of total assets in equities, primarily in large U.S. companies, focusing mainly on common stocks, using a systematic, research-based approach with fundamental alpha factors to maximize returns while maintaining a risk profile similar to the Russell 1000 Index.

SUWIX

The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets in the securities of U.S. and non-U.S. infrastructure-related companies. The adviser considers a company to be an infrastructure-related company if at least 50% of its non-cash assets are infrastructure assets or 50% of its gross income or net profits are derived, directly or indirectly, from the ownership, management, construction, operation, utilization or financing of infrastructure assets.
