Under normal circumstances, the fund invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities or equity-related securities issued by entities in, or tied economically to, emerging markets. These securities may be denominated in U.S. or non-U.S. currencies. The fund may also invest in ETFs to obtain this exposure or for other investment purposes. It may also invest in ADRs, Global Depositary Receipts and non-voting Depositary Receipts.

MCYVX

The fund, under normal circumstances, invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in high-yield debt securities that are rated below investment grade by a nationally recognized statistical rating organization ("NRSRO") or that are unrated but are considered to be of comparable quality by MacKay Shields LLC, the fund's Subadvisor. It will generally seek to maintain a weighted average duration of three years or less, although the fund may invest in instruments of any duration or maturity.

MDHVX

The investment seeks long-term capital appreciation. The fund generally invests in a diversified portfolio consisting of equity securities of companies located throughout the world, including the U.S., that have a history of earning a high return on their invested capital relative to their cost of capital and that have positive growth in operating cash flow. It invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in equity securities of companies across all market capitalizations. The fund may invest up to 20% of its net assets in securities issued by companies in emerging markets as determined by the fund's Subadvisor.

MECVX

The investment seeks a high level of current income exempt from federal income taxes; the secondary investment objective is total return. The fund invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in municipal bonds. It may invest up to 10% of its net assets in municipal bonds that are the subject of bankruptcy proceedings, that are in default as to the payment of principal or interest, or that are rated in the lowest rating category by a NRSRO or if unrated, judged to be of comparable quality by the subadvisor.

MMHVX

The fund, under normal circumstances, invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in municipal bonds, whose interest is, in the opinion of bond counsel for the issuers at the time of issuance, exempt from federal and New York income taxes. It generally invests in municipal bonds that have a maturity of five years or longer at the time of purchase.

MNOVX

The fund invests at least 80% of its assets (net assets plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in municipal bonds, whose interest is, in the opinion of bond counsel for the issuers at the time of issuance, exempt from federal and California income taxes. It may invest up to 20% of its net assets in municipal bonds subject to the federal alternative minimum tax, and municipal bonds that pay interest that is subject to federal and California income taxes.

MSCVX

The investment seeks current income exempt from regular federal income tax. The fund, under normal circumstances, invests at least 80% of its assets in municipal bonds, the income from which is exempt from federal income tax. It will seek to maintain a portfolio dollar-weighted average duration of 3 to 10 years, although the fund may invest in instruments of any duration or maturity. The manager will invest, under normal circumstances, at least 65% of its net assets in investment grade quality bonds as rated by a nationally recognized statistical rating organization, or if unrated, judged to be of comparable quality the fund's subadvisor.
