It operates through three segments: Intermediary Services, Distribution Channels, and Fintech & Research. The Intermediary Services segment provides compliance and regulation services to individual financial intermediary member firms, including directly authorized IFAs, directly authorized mortgage advisers, workplace consultants, and directly authorized wealth managers. The Distribution Channels segment offers marketing and promotion, product paneling, and co-manufacturing services to financial institutions, as well as undertakes survey paneling and surveying works for mortgage lenders. The Fintech & Research segment operates a Fintech platform, and provides independent ratings and reviews for financial products and funds; and research services for financial products and funds. It also offers market insights and analysis, product design and compliance, and targeted distribution services to product providers; product research and comparison, financial planning and advice technology, and centralized data and workflow services to intermediaries; and product education, comparison, and rating services to consumers. The company was formerly known as The SimplyBiz Group plc and changed its name to Fintel plc in March 2021. Fintel plc was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Huddersfield, the United Kingdom.
