The iShares Global Energy ETF (IXC) seeks to track the S&P Global 1200 Energy 4.5/22.5/45 Capped Index, composed of global companies in the energy sector, including integrated oil and gas majors, exploration and production firms, and energy equipment and services providers. The fund holds both U.S. leaders such as ExxonMobil and Chevron and international names like Shell and TotalEnergies. It launched in November 2001.
