I noticed that when monthly performance is presented it has a shading because of seasonality? Is there somewhere we can access the 12 monthly factors?

Hi, yeah, the shading just reflects how each month performed in that specific year. We don’t display monthly factors anywhere at the moment, but that’s something we could easily add. Just to double-check: by monthly factors, you mean the average return for each month across all years, like the average return for all Februarys?

I’ve also seen people use a seasonal index, like the average return in month X divided by the overall average return. That could be interesting to visualize too.

the seasonal index was what i was referring to....averages lie to you....average 5 but one time 10 and the other time 0 so average 5

If you are old like me, you are trying to plan on income every month....when the yearly is say 5% per month but a couple of months it is only 2% then your plan is screwed for that reason...also if it is like that then there is some months >5....I am a planner and forecaster by background
