Adding a Ticker with little market history, but zero portfolio allocation erases the portfolio ranking and return in the dashboard

Take a portfolio with a ranking and YTD return on the dashboard. As an example, add DRAM (inception 6 months ago) with zero allocation. Go back to the dashboard. Any prior portfolio ranking or return is now erased.

Hi Don, I just took a look and this is actually working as designed: a static portfolio's inception date is the latest inception across all its positions, regardless of weight, so that all metrics are computed over a common history. Adding DRAM shortens the portfolio's history to that window, and with less than 12 months of data the portfolio no longer qualifies for ranking, which is why the rank and YTD return disappear.

That said, I'd like to understand your workflow better before deciding whether to change this. What's the goal of adding a position at 0% allocation?
