Can anyone verify that dividends are included in the calculation of the performance of my portfolio when compared against the S&P 500 benchmark?

Yes, dividends are included in your performance calculations. We have two types of portfolios that account for dividends: static and transacitonal. In static portfoilos dividends are automatically reinvested and compound with your returns. In trasactional portfolios dividends are tracked as cash and included in total portfolio value without being reinvested

When comparing to a benchmark, make sure you select the one that includes dividends: S&P 500 Total Return (^SP500TR) - includes dividends reinvested, S&P 500 Price Index (^GSPC) - price only, no dividends
