ETFs in Europe - Newbie
Hello everyone, I'm European, I live in Europe, I'm retired, and trying to start my ETF investments, but I've encountered some difficulties.
I have seen several online analyses and videos about "dividend ETFs", mostly American ones, in which they advise the purchase of VYM and SCHD, among others, but at my broker - Trade Republic (DE) - I don't find them available, I think due to restrictions of European regulations.
I tried to buy VOO but I only found VUAA, which someone suggested to me as the European equivalent of VOO. Are there other ETFs similar to those recommended in the USA and available in Europe?
In tax terms, what should I pay attention to? When buying American ETFs can I be double taxed?
In terms of "Dividend ETF" what do you recommend for investing in Europe?
Thank you in advance and good investments

You want UCITS ETFs. Start on justetf, then use portfolioslab on what you find.
You'll get withholding taxed on US dividends. Synthetic ETFs might avoid this, but I've read conflicting things (bogleheads forum).
