I am having a hard time uploading my Excel sheet (custom data). I have Date, Portfolio, Type (Buy/Sell) and then my 5 ETF symbols as the following columns. All have been formatted to what it looks like the example data. Not sure why i cant get this to upload.. I am a new user so maybe this is something simple I am missing-- Best Todd Hanneman

Hey Todd,

Thanks for getting in touch. Our custom data importer can be somewhat strict about data formats. When importing, please ensure the following:

  • The file is in .csv format, which is supported by all major spreadsheet editors.
  • The document should only contain numerical columns. Our system expects each column to hold either portfolio NAV values or position NAV values. Any additional non-numerical data could cause a number parsing error.
  • Number formatting in the document should be plain, for example, avoid using "1,234.56". Instead, use "1234.56". We've recently updated our system to accept "," as a decimal delimiter instead of ".", but aside from this, any other formatting may result in an error.

I hope this information is helpful!
