Ticker Request Query

Do new ticker requests get actioned? Is this something that is done as a matter of normal business or does it depend on availability, good will or demand for that asset? I have tons of assets, largely listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX) that I would like to add. As an alternative I can download data from Yahoo finance or other sources and import it I suppose - in this case is just the OHLCV data (open, high, low, close and volume) that is required? Thank you.

Hey, we usually add around 400–500 new tickers every month. User requests help us prioritize what to work on next, but we also monitor popular instruments, searches, and new mentions to add what’s currently in demand. Supporting a new exchange is a much more involved commitment and would require allocating additional capacity on our end, though we do take it on from time to time.

Uploading custom tickers is currently supported only as custom assets inside a portfolio, which only require adjusted close prices. We’re also experimenting with expanding this to allow uploading custom tickers to user profiles to use them interchangeably with all other assets on the platform, like in screeners or other tools. But that’s not public yet, unfortunately.
